Weather data from ECMWF is now available via the stormglass API
We are really excited to announce the addition of ECMWF data to the stormglass API. Together with NOAA (already available), ECMWF is regarded as one of the best performing global weather models. The weather data from ECMWF is available for new and existing stormglass.io users without any additional cost.
Both marine and terrestrial weather (including wind- and solar data) is included. To see all available parameters from ECMWF, please have a look at the documentation: https://docs.stormglass.io/#/sources
Increased API Performance
Alongside our ongoing mission to make the world’s most accurate weather models available, we have also carried out a major upgrade of our platform. This has made the API significantly faster – more than 2x in speed in overall performance. The update was also made to future proof our excellent uptime stats and performance as the platform grows with more weather data and users.

More data from ECMWF will follow, including historical re-analysed data (ERA5) as well as the brand new ECMWF AI model called AIFS.
