Global Tide Data
We are excited to let you know we have just released a major upgrade of the tide data available in the Storm Glass API. You are now able to get tide levels as well as timestamps for high/low tide (extremes) globally!
Useful meta information such as the name of the tide station and the distance between the requested coordinate and the tide station has also been added.
The tide data is available via a new tide specific end-point. The full documentation is available in the Tide section of the documentation
The new tide data is included in all existing plans and also for new sign-ups at the same pricing as before
Additional Historical Data
Detailed historical data from July 1st 2018 and forward from all our weather sources is available via the API. We have now also added global data from January 1st 2017 and forward from NOAA.
New Weather Sources
A new weather source has been added — ICON. ICON is provided by Germany’s National Meteorological Service and provides global marine forecasts for 7 days ahead in 0.25°x0.25° resolution.
Since before we provide data from NOAA, Météo-France, UK Met Office, DWD, FCOO, FMI, YR and SMHI (full list at stormglass.io).
